Our God is a missionary God and he looks for a mission-minded people

Alan Purser is our visiting preacher all day. He is a friend to us over many years: the brother of Clive, a previous mission speaker on Sundays and one of our recent High Leigh speakers when he took us through Deuteronomy at a critical time for us in the run-up to our Building Project and Venture of Faith.

On this Mission Sunday for Crosslinks he will be encouraging us to lift up our eyes to understand and engage with the world-wide mission scene and call. He wants nothing more than to open God’s Word for us and let it do its work to galvanise and equip us in his great missionary service.

He returns in the New Year for the PCC Away Day (Sat, Jan 16, 2010), when he will take us through a “mission audit” as a church, to shape us and sharpen us in how we integrate the mission of the gospel locally and throughout the world. Yes, God is a missionary God and he is looking for fellow-missionaries.
