The Nicolle Family 

nicollescanilSteve and Ali Nicolle, with Hannah (17), Katrina (15) and Danny (11) are based at Trinity Western University, near Vancouver, Canada. Within TWU Steve works with CanIL, the Canada Institute of Linguistics, a department of Wycliffe Bible Translators/SIL.
Steve grew up at St. Peter’s and is a lecturer and linguistics, literacy & translation consultant. Ali is a copy-editor and teaches editing skills. Steve is a consultant to the The Tembo translation project in DR Congo which St. Peter’s has supported.
They worked in Kenya for nearly fourteen years. They headed up the translation of the New Testament into Chidigo for the Digo people, along the coast of Kenya. and then Steve lectured in linguistics and translation studies at Africa International University, Nairobi. He still runs an e-learning MA course based at A.I.U.
Wycliffe Bible Translators translate and distribute the scriptures in minority languages, combined with related literacy and language development.
After over 15 months of uncertainty, in September they gained permanent residence in Canada. Hallelujah!
